Biography
WHERE WE BEGAN. WHERE WE’RE HEADED.
Color Blocks Productions represents the 15-year musical partnership of Lee Barbara and Bobby Seus. Having met originially as session musicians in Southern Oregon, the two immediately found a musical connection that has since blossomed into a long-lasting, prolific and masterfully artistic entity all its own. After several years of performing together in jazz and rock groups early in their careers, they both departed Southern Oregon to further their respective musical studies. In the following four years, as Sues was completing dual degrees in Music Composition and English from the University of Notre Dame, Barbara immersed himself in his own studies, earning degrees in Jazz Studies and Arts and Letters from the University of Oregon.
After completing their degrees, Seus and Barbara rekindled their partnership and formed Delaney, an immediately successful endeavor whose pop-rock anthems shared stages with legends like Foreigner, Phantom Planet, and Starflyer 59. After touring the country several times over, Delaney disbanded, and the songwriting duo found endless possibility and potential in their new chosen home base: Portland, Oregon. They quickly founded Color Blocks Productions, a boutique songwriting, recording and production facility. They’ve since been writing and recording for many of Portland’s most talented artists, finding licensing placements for their music in TV and Film, and crafting innovative, soulful studio productions from each of their own compositions as a team.
